The Chest Wall Injury Society is hosting a new two-day virtual symposium - including day 1 of didactic research science and day 2 of project/idea-sharing.  It is is designed to provide a forum for discussion and collaboration between members and other healthcare professionals with shared interest and expertise in chest wall injury research.

Day 1 didactic presentations and panel session are structured around the full life-cycle of a research project, including, but not limited to project initiation, execution, and publication.

The Day 2 schedule includes inviting research proposals to be pitched to a panel of CWIS Research experts, who will then critique and discuss each proposal with the applicant.  The experts will select ideas from among the applicants who will receive an official CWIS Research mentor to help guide the project, contribute to the conduct of the study, and help prepare and submit to future CWISummit activities.  Projects completed will receive priority selection consideration for podium presentation.
