Description

The Chest Wall Injury Society Hungary 2025 Meeting includes a deep-dive in the current operative and non-operative approaches to chest wall trauma. We will examine the treatment options, current surgical systems available & techniques, as well as opportunities for collaboration & best practices.

The shared experiences and expertise of local and national surgeons provide a unique and rich educational experience. As a result of participating in this activity, the learner will be able to:

  1. Review complex chest anatomy and chest wall injury surgical exposures
  2. Discuss updated guidelines and best practices regarding surgical stabilization of rib fractures
  3. Identify key steps in SSRF algorithm to determine optimal surgical patient selection
  4. Implement collaborative practice steps between trauma, thoracic, and orthopedic care teams
  5. Analyze illustrative chest wall injury patient cases across the learning continuum from novice to advanced healthcare professionals
  6. Discuss recently completed and upcoming relevant research and science regarding chest wall injury
